On December 11, 2024, FlexiForm participated in the EIC Pathfinder Portfolio AEC Kick-Off Meeting at the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) in Brussels. Representing the project were Mariana Popescu and Pierluigi D’Acunto.
The event brought together the 10 project consortia that make up the Digitrio portfolio, FlexiForm, Stack, RAW, Universal Timber Slab Project, CARBCOMN, AlgoLoam, Archibiofoam, AM2PM, Pantarei, and Scene-B, each exploring the transformative potential of digitalisation within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector.
The meeting marked the start of a four-year collaboration focused on reducing emissions in the AEC sector through computational design, digital fabrication, and sustainable material innovation. Each project presented its objectives and explored opportunities for collaboration within the portfolio.
FlexiForm highlighted its research on knitted flexible formworks as a pathway to material-efficient, low-carbon construction.
Participation in this event reinforces FlexiForm’s commitment to innovative, sustainable construction practices and to contributing to Europe’s green transition.
